Mercy Rule – U9 & U10 age groups

All teams must avoid “running up” the score to keep respect in the game.

As the Referee no longer keeps score, Coaches will be asked to consult with each other and the Referee if a substantial difference in Play is achieved.

To foster development, a Mercy Rule will be in effect. Once an agreed difference is achieved, the Coaches will consult with the Referee if they wish to continue playing or end the game immediately. The Referee will record on the Game Sheet that the game was mutually ended as per Mercy Rule.
