Tournament play is an integral part of Raider soccer. Tournament play give teams the opportunity to play several games in a short period of time. This opportunity for frequent repetitions of skills and tactics can be the key to improvement for players and teams. Tournament play also helps to teach a team how to play and win in a pressure situation. In addition, it gives each player the opportunity to travel, and to meet soccer players from other places. It also gives the coaching staff an opportunity to learn from other programs and to measure the progress of the Club's teaching efforts.

The Richmond Hill Challenge Cup Soccer Tournament

September 18 - 20, 2009

FROM PRE-SEASON TO POST-SEASON!
The Richmond Hill Challenge Cup Tournament had been one of the premier, pre-season Rep soccer Tournaments in Ontario for 13 years. The past four Tournaments were held post-season, during the third weekend of September and, as promised, were competitive and exciting events that offered teams an opportunity to compete with others from across Ontario, Quebec and the northern United States. Organized by the dedicated volunteers and staff of the Richmond Hill Soccer Club,
the Challenge Cup provides top-notch tournament management and co-ordination.
It is always a memorable experience for all teams and a great way to end the outdoor season.
