Re: FC Northwest

In July 2008, FC Northwest was formed to replace the North West Youth Soccer

Association. The new governance model was formed to better facilitate soccer

programming within the District and to promote a philosophy of Soccer for Life.

The restructuring has progressed at a great pace and in addition to other

initiatives currently underway, we are at a stage of reintegrating the

Developmental and Premier programs as part of the District/Club model, FC

Northwest. The past success and experience of the Northern Light S C will only

add to strengthen the new organization and provide more opportunities for our

teams and players. The essential components of both of these programs will

remain the same. While the registration process is fundamentally the same,

players will be registering with FC Northwest.

One exciting change will be that teams in the 2009 outdoor season will carry the

familiar green, gold and white that has been a part of the district for many years,

but will sport the new FC Northwest logo.

Shortly, we will be announcing the successful candidate of Club Head Coach.

The full time Club Head Coach is an integral position, and will add to the success

of soccer at all levels within the Club.

Within the new organization, the Premier and Developmental programs fall under

the auspices of the Technical/Premier Committee and as Director of

Technical/Premier, Al Grettum will oversee all aspects of the Program.

He can be contacted by phone or email at:
