Coaching Certification - NCCP Courses
Coach Course Descriptions
CSA/ASA certified coaching courses for Community Coaches are offered every spring, with the fee being paid by SASA on your behalf. Courses take place at SASA's Riel Clubhouse and fields. They will be comprised of some classroom time, but the majority is on-field time. Dress appropriate for all weather conditions. You may bring a bagged lunch for break time. You may take one or more of these courses, and in any order. Coaches acquiring all 3 components & adding a Theory Level 1 Course receive their Community Coach License from the CSA.
2009 NCCP Courses:
2 day Course, April 24 & 25, 2009, 9am-5pm - NCCP Youth Community Coach Course (coaching age 14 and younger)
2 day Course, May 2 & 3, 2009, 9am-5pm - NCCP Senior Community Coach Course (coaching age 14 and older)
1 day Course, May 9, 2009, 9am-5pm - NCCP Child Community Coach Course (coaching age 10 and younger)
To register for an NCCP Course, please contact Margaret at email@example.com
The Pre-B Assessment and B License Program is offered through the ASA. Pre-B takes place late April in 2009 and the B License Program takes place in September. Interested applicants must be referred by our Head Coach.
Additional theory courses are offered by Grant MacEwan College. These courses are an excellent supplement to the on-field NCCP Courses above, addressing sports nutrition, psychology, and more. Feedback from these courses has always been excellent. For course information dates, and registration information please go directly to Grant MacEwans's website or phone them at 497-5300.
