Meet other great soccer families in St. Albert while helping us be the best soccer club in the area, providing quality programs for all ages and levels!!

Registration Volunteers
We are in need of 10-15 volunteers to help with taking registrations in September for the Indoor Season and in February for the Outdoor Season.
This is a great way to get involved helping with a limited time commitment.   3 to 4 hour shifts working with and meeting other great soccer parents.  Sign up for 1 shift or sign up for a few - your choice.   Please contact Margaret at 780-458-8973 Ext 123 or use her email address listed above.

Coaches, Co-Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and for the minis programs U4 - U8, Timekeepers (announcing subs every few minutes)
This probably goes without saying, but just so you know how much you are appreciated - without parent volunteers for these positions - we cannot have teams or operate these programs.   The cost of soccer would be $50-$100 more per player, and honestly, there is no possibility we could find enough paid staff coaches to cover the nearly 200 teams we have each season, so please sign up to help!

Thinking of coaching but don't know much about soccer?
Most of our coaches start out with lots of enthusiasm and very little soccer knowledge so please don't let that hinder you from signing up to coach.  Our Head Coach, Graham Wood is there for support and so are we!!  That is why we offer pre-season on-field training sessions for our coaches providing basic tips and ideas for practices and a formal handbook with more ideas to take home.  Graham also has an excellent library of resources and can be available to meet any time if you are looking to learn more.  All Coaches are expected to attend the pre-season orientation and skills training session.  (1.5 hour time commitment).   Any additional courses are optional.

For coaches of U12 - U18 teams, beginning Outdoor 2012
The ASA requires coaches from any team advancing to Provincials to also have the NCCP Coaching course applicable for that age group.  You will find these 2 day NCCP courses are interesting, fun, hugely informative and helpful, and definitely worth a few hours of your time, AND we cover the $120 cost.
Coaches will want to take the NCCP Youth Community if they are coaching U12, and the NCCP Senior Community course if they are coaching  U14 - U18.  Every spring we offer these 2 day NCCP Coach Certificiation courses at SASA.  Genereally in late April and early May.
