Scarborough Blizzard Youth Soccer Club is a volunteer run organization relying on the soccer parents and other individuals within our community who volunteer their time, skills and energy to help the program run smoothly. All offers of assistance are greatly appreciated. You can help make a positive impact with the player's experience by volunteering your time. We are always looking for help in coordinating, planning and carrying out the various tasks needed for the success of the club.  The following committees all have openings and need chairs to head them up as well as volunteers to assist the chairs.

 

 1.      Convenors

Collect the game sheets and submit the results via email to the Head Referee and House League Coordinator for posting of results.  Convenors also observe games to ensure that Parents, Coaches, Players and Referees are adhering to the rules of the club.  All complaints are listened to and then submitted to the feedback@gblizardsoccer.com.    Disciplinary items are reviewed by the Disciplinary board.  The club has a no tolerance rule for aggressive and physical intimidation of parents, players, coaches and referees


2.     Rep Development Planning

  1. Works with Rep Coordinator to develop the Competitive Coaches
  2. Build on the All Star Program to ensure that the players are moving up to the Rep Program
  3. Design and Develop Programs for Competitive Player development

3.     House League Planning

  1. Plans development training for house league players
  2. Plans the schedule and other items directly related to the success of the house league program. i.e. Picture Day, Trophy Day etc.
  3. Marketing i.e. Advertising and flyers for the House League program
  4. Works with Fundraising and Sponsorship director to get funding for the house league divisions
  5. Coaches Development
