Swansea House League - Regular Season Rules
1. Max 3 Goals a Game Rule per player - All Age Groups Players who have scored 3 goals will be allowed to play their regular game and take shots on net. However, any goals scored will not be counted towards the result This is to encourage involement for all players during the game
2. 4 Goal Cap during the game - U08 and U10 Divisions Only In order to ensure fair, fun play and to take into account any imbalances during a particular game there will be a 4 goal Cap in place. Teams can only be leading by 4 goals at anyone time. Once the lead is by 4, any goals scored by the leading team WILL NOT count. If the opposing team scores, the lead is cut to 3 and the leading team has the opportunity to count another goal. You cannot go back and count ‘old goals’ to maintain the 4 goal differential. In the event that this is occuring to a particular team(s), then rebalancing of teams may need to take place.
Referees will track all goal scores and notify the teams when one or the other is up by 4.
Coaches should keep track as well (or find a parent to help) but the referee’s scorecard will be considered official.
These rules will apply to the Regular Season. Coaches will be informed on whether these rules apply for the tournament.
