Motion to approve minutes from December 12, 2006 meeting made by Pam Rice, second by Pete Engoglia. Motion passed by acclimation.
Randy Domain from Cleveland Pro Hockey described new developments in preparation for dropping the puck for Cleveland’s new professional hockey team in October 2007. Now has NHL affiliation with Colorado Avalanche. Media event planned for near future to announce team name. Jock Callander recently hired. All games will be on radio, negotiating for limited number of games to be televised first season, plan to grow to full television schedule within a few years. New website starting up next week, want to incorporate CSHL, high school hockey. Contact Randy directly at 216-420-2180, rdomain@cavs.com.
Playoff report from Don Lewis. Gilmour, Strongsville, Canton-Euclid, Rocky River and Mentor have submitted proposals to host playoff games. Don anticipates having site and schedule finalized by the end of the month and up on the website. Advise Don if teams have any scheduling conflicts playoff weekend. If two Columbus teams are scheduled to play first round we can play that game in Columbus. Suggested having photographer take action shots. Banners have been ordered, trophies and t-shirts on order.
