A review of the pre-season scheduling meeting was completed noting the times and location

Tim O. Discussed that we are trying something different this the 5th year of the RPI System. The quality of the data submitted is much improved and that most programs are submitting the data in the correct format. Review of the pre-season schedules that were handed out to the HOP’s was done noting they they are marked as DRAFT and the coaches are still required to show up at pre-season scheduling.

The RPI system only uses pre-set games or extra games scheduled at the pre-season scheduling meeting. Any other games are welcome, but will require that the CSHL Assignor be notified.

Remember that a $150.00 per team deposit is required and due on or prior to the pre-season scheduling meeting. It is preferred that one check be written to the CSHL to aggregate all teams.

Please make sure that program heads or their designees that are able to make schedule changes are at the pre-season scheduling meeting for the entire day.

Scott Polloch was hired as the regional director by USA Hockey to promote the ADM in the district. He will be attending the pre-season scheduling meeting.

All substantial changes that were approved at the May, 2009 meeting was re-read to the HOP’s with opportunity to ask additional questions for rule clarification.

Don Lewis presented Referee Request Sheets and Game Change Procedure sheets to all HOP and reviewed the procedures for each in addition to fielding any questions to provide clarification. Don

stated that he will review with referees how long various age groups games will last and indicated the game compensation dictates the length of the game.

It was discussed that Pre-Season 101 procedures will be included in the team packets received at pre-season scheduling.

Program Director contacts are now being posted on the CSHL Website. If the contacts listed are not correct or if you want additional contacts added please let us know so we can make the appropriate changes.

Please make sure that all coaches review their contact information and provide changes via email to the CSHL Secretary at cshlsecretary@yahoo.com.

Tim O. stated that coaching clinics are being held at a couple of organizations. Registration is handled through USA Hockey and is now online. Make sure that coaches are registering and their certificates are up to date. Tim would like to see more compliance and enforcement of this by the member programs. USA Hockey gives coaches until 12/31 to obtain the proper certificate.

John Stojak reminded all that everyone on the bench should be a coach.

Pam Rice requested that the HOP’s not let players on the ice without proper releases from prior programs.

Barons Update: The showcase is coming up on 12/09 and is being hosted by Gilmour. There will be 24 games starting 12/18/09 and will be Tier 1 U18. All information will be on the Baron’s Website.

A comment was made regarding making mite C cross ice in order to be compliant with the ADM. General discussion followed.

Tim O. asked HOP’s that if they have a team that may not form and that team has a team number and they are scratched prior to the pre-season scheduling meeting please let him know. Conversely if a new team is formed let him know so arrangements can be made to schedule games for the new team.

Tim O. acknowledged that the CSHL is agnostic on the formation of birth year teams.

Terry H commented that we no longer charge $150 for non-CSHL teams to participate in pre-season scheduling and invites those teams to schedule games.

Motion to adjourn at 8:01 PM by Tom Cordish and seconded by Terry Horonzy, all in favor, motion past and meeting was adjourned.
